Profile of a Graduate
Las Cruces Public Schools is gathering input from our community regarding which characteristics are most important for our graduates. These traits outline the academic, cognitive, personal, and interpersonal characteristics which all students should possess by the time they graduate from our schools.
How can you help?
From now through Jan. 24, 2022, LCPS is collecting survey data based on the level of importance of various graduate characteristics. By developing a Profile of a Graduate, LCPS hopes to focus its students and community on a set of core teaching and learning goals and norms. These goals and norms will support student development in the skills necessary to be successful in school and post-graduation, and establish a transformative framework to support people, systems, structures and processes throughout the district. In short, schools use this process to broaden the focus of curriculum beyond basic skills towards more complex skills needed for success in the workforce and in life.
The survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes and at the end you can include your contact information if you are interested in participating in a focus group.
